I also walked from Spiez on the beautiful Lake Thun to Interlaken but, as part of it was along the main road, it wasn’t as peaceful as the walk which I have made on the other lake, Brienz, previously. Nonetheless, it was a decent walk and in better weather than was had in the mountains and finished off a good week’s walking in which I huffed and puffed my way up, avoided slipping on the way down and was absolutely tremendous along the flat... Next September for the next trip to Switzerland seems a long way off. Five excellent days of weather mingled with two not so good were put into perspective when I returned to winds and high rains which are ravishing the country as I write.
